This year, the Singapore Institute of Directors' (SID) annual Directors Conference was held on 7 September at the sprawling grounds of the Marina Bay Sands Conventioon Centre . The theme for this year's convention - "Rebooting Globalisation and Governance in an Era of Disruption" is timely, given the recently announced changes to the Code of Corporate Governance and SGX Listing Rules. The Guest of Honour, Ms Indranee Rajah, Minister in the Prime Minister's Office as well as a whole host of distinguished speakers and business leaders graced the convention and spoke on wide ranging topics such as the Belt and Road Initiative, International Directorship and challenges faced by a more closely connected world. These include: Professor Tommy Koh, Ambassador-at-Large, Ho Kwon Ping, Executive chairman of Banyan Tree Holdings, and Mr Kurt Wee, President, Association of Small and Medium Enterprise, Singapore. Optimus Chambers was represented at this prestigious convention by Director Nicholas Ngoh.
